Your funds support:
$$ Expeditions to Palau to search for MIA sites
$$ Documentation of Patrick Scannon's BentProp Project
$$ The collection of oral histories in Palau from those elders who witnessed
the aircraft going down and those who have seen wreck sites and can lead us to
them.
$$ Travel to Japan to interview former Imperial Japanese Army officers who can
shed light on many of the MIA mysteries that remain.
Research trips to:
$$ National Archives, US and Japan
$$ Private collections and museums
$$ US Navy Historical Research Center
$$ US Marine Historical Research Center
$$ US Air Force Historical Research Agency
$$ Travel to the many reunion groups of those who
fought and flew over the Palau islands. We update them on the progress in finding
their long lost friends and collect their oral histories. The memories of these
men help keep alive those who were lost and give valuable clues to where wreck
sites may be found.
$$ Meeting the families of the MIAs whose mystery Pat Scannon is working to
solve and delivery of the US flags flown and folded over the wreck sites to those
Families.
And, on our wish list once everything else
is Funded;
$$$$ We would like to fund a Side scanning sonar search of the
Palauan waters which could help locate 20 or more MIA sites.
That's just inside the reef, just imagine if we had Bob Ballard's
capabilities!
